PARTNERSHIPS & COLLABORATIONS
Some watches begin outside the workshop.
Not every Pinchbeck starts with a sketch on Jason's screen or a movement on Rob's bench, some begin with a conversation.
Over the years we've worked with artists, charities, institutions, sporting organisations and individuals to create watches that tell stories we couldn't have told on our own.
Sometimes the result is a limited edition, sometimes it's a commemorative piece, sometimes it's a watch built around a painting, a place, a tradition or a moment worth remembering.
The projects are always different, but the principle stays the same.
Find a good story and make a good watch around it.
PINCHBECK WATCHES - LINCOLN, ENGLAND - EST.2006
1.
ARTIST COLLABORATIONS
Some of our most successful watches have started with a blank canvas. Through collaborations with artists and makers, we've explored new ideas, celebrated places and brought stories into our watches that could never have come from the workshop alone.
THE LINCOLN WATCH
DOMINIC PARCZUK // PINCHBECK
THE LINCOLN WATCH
One of our most successful collaborations began right outside our workshop in the shadow of Lincoln Cathedral.
Working with artist Dominic Parczuk, we commissioned an original painting of the Lincoln skyline. The artwork became part of the watch itself and every owner received a signed print alongside their watch.
The result was The Lincoln.
A watch rooted in the city we call home and a project that sold out faster than any of us expected. In hindsight, our only regret was making so few.

THE ORPHEUS WATCH
TONI WATTS // PINCHBECK
ORPHEUS
Following the success of The Lincoln, we approached artist and illuminator Toni Watts with a different challenge.
The result was Orpheus.
Toni created an original artwork inspired by the ancient story of Orpheus and Eurydice using traditional techniques including egg tempera and gold leaf.
That artwork became part of a limited edition watch and demonstrated how traditional artistic practices could find a place inside modern watchmaking.

2.
ORGANISATIONAL & CHARITABLE PARTNERSHIPS
From historic institutions and charitable organisations to sporting traditions and British brands, these partnerships have allowed us to create watches connected to communities, causes and milestones that matter to the people behind them.
THE CHELSEA REACH WATCH
DOGGETT’S COAT & BADGE // PINCHBECK
CHELSEA REACH
For more than a decade we have supported the historic Race for Doggett's Coat & Badge through our relationships with the worshipful Company of Fishmongers and Company of Watermen and Lightermen
First raced in 1715, Doggett's remains one of Britain's oldest sporting traditions.
Projects connected to the Thames and London's watermen have influenced several of our designs, including the Lambeth collection.

THE army benevolent fund
lord mayor’s big curry lunch // pinchbeck
THE ARMY BENEVOLENT FUND
For more than a decade, Pinchbeck has supported fundraising initiatives connected to the Army Benevolent Fund, the national charity supporting soldiers, veterans and their families.
The relationship has included donating watches for auctions, fundraising events and charitable initiatives, helping raise vital funds for the charity's work.
One of the highlights has been our long-standing involvement with the Lord Mayor's Big Curry Lunch, held annually at Guildhall in the City of London. The event brings together leaders from business, military and civic life to support military charities and has become one of the most recognised fundraising events of its kind.

Alongside supporting fundraising efforts, we have also created commemorative watches inspired by significant moments in British military history, including Waterloo, Trafalgar and the Battle of Britain.
It is a partnership we are proud to have supported for many years and one that reflects our belief that watches can help tell stories worth remembering while contributing to causes worth supporting.

THE UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD // PINCHBECK
UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD
Some collaborations are built around a place. Others are built around an institution.
Created for the University of Oxford, this collection brought together contemporary design with a distinctly British character.
Available in parchment and deep blue colourways, the watches were designed to feel versatile and understated. Something equally at home in a lecture hall, a boardroom or everyday life.
While the project is no longer available, it remains an important part of the Pinchbeck story and an example of how a watch can reflect the identity of a community, institution or shared experience.

LONDON OVERGROUND // PINCHBECK
LONDON OVERGROUND
Sometimes the most interesting projects come from unexpected places.
Commissioned by Transport for London and working with London Overground, we produced a small collection of watches created specifically for the organisation to celebrate and award milestone achievements.
This project demonstrated how a watch can become a lasting reminder of a shared experience, workplace culture or significant milestone.
Like many of our collaborations, it proved that meaningful projects don't always need large numbers to leave a lasting impression.

3.
WATCHES WITH STORIES
Over the years, Pinchbeck watches have accompanied explorers, adventurers and significant moments in history. They've travelled further than we expected and become part of stories much bigger than the workshop itself.
JASON MCKINLAY // PINCHBECK
JASON MCKINLAY
In 2013, adventurer Jason McKinlay completed an unsupported row around the entire British mainland wearing a specially commissioned Pinchbeck Christopher.
The challenge, completed alongside rowing partner Josh Tarr, set a world record for a two-person crew and covered some of the most demanding waters around the British Isles.
The watch completed every mile of the journey alongside them.
It's a reminder that a watch is ultimately made to be worn, not left in a drawer.

ROGER DAVIES // PINCHBECK
ROGER DAVIES
Some watches are tested in ways we could never recreate in the workshop.
Explorer Roger Davies wore a specially prepared Pinchbeck Christopher during his 2009 North Pole expedition.
To cope with the extreme conditions, the watch was fitted with specialist lubrication designed to withstand Arctic temperatures.
The expedition pushed both man and machine into one of the harshest environments on earth and proved that a watch built in Lincoln could perform far beyond it.

HRH QUEEN ELIZABETH II // PINCHBECK
ELIZABETH
Following the passing of HMH Queen Elizabeth II, we created a limited edition, commemorative watch to mark an extraordinary reign.
The Elizabeth was designed as a respectful tribute to a monarch who served the nation for more than seventy years and whose life became intertwined with modern British history.
It remains one of the most meaningful commemorative projects we have undertaken.

HRH KING CHARLES III CORONATION // PINCHBECK
KING CHARLES III CORONATION WATCH
To mark the Coronation of King Charles III, we created a special edition watch celebrating a historic moment in British life.
Like many of our commemorative projects, it was never about creating a souvenir.
It was about marking a moment that people would remember for generations and creating something that could be worn long after the celebrations had passed.
The result was a watch connected not just to an event, but to a chapter in the continuing story of Britain.

We'd like to do more of this.
Some of the most rewarding watches we've created have come through collaboration.
As a small British watchmaker, we have the flexibility to approach projects differently. Whether that's a limited edition watch, a commemorative design, a bespoke commission, a fundraising initiative, an organisational watch, an artistic collaboration or a watch created to mark a significant milestone, we're always interested in exploring ideas that have a genuine story behind them.
We are particularly interested in hearing from...
• Artists and makers
• Charities and fundraising initiatives
• Sporting organisations and events
• Clubs, societies and institutions
• Businesses marking an anniversary or milestone
• Cultural and heritage organisations
• British brands and manufacturers
• Individuals with an idea worth exploring
The best collaborations don't start with a product.
They start with a conversation.
We'd like to do more of this.
