Made-to-order means your watch is built after you place your order. Unlike many watch brands, we don't keep large quantities of finished watches sitting on shelves waiting to be sold. Instead, your watch enters our workshop schedule and is assembled specifically for you in Lincoln.

Most made-to-order Pinchbeck watches take approximately eight weeks from order to completion. This allows time for preparation, assembly, testing, inspection and final finishing before the watch leaves the workshop.

Because your watch doesn't exist when you order it. Every Pinchbeck enters the workshop after purchase and is assembled individually rather than being taken from stock. The build time allows us to give each watch the attention it deserves while maintaining the standards we expect from a British watchmaker.

No. Your watch begins its journey once your order is placed. Components are gathered, the build is scheduled and the watch enters the workshop process before being assembled and tested.

Yes. Depending on the model, there may be opportunities to personalise elements such as straps, engravings or other details. If you're looking for something more involved, our Personalised & Bespoke service may be a better fit.

In most cases, yes. We offer a range of strap options and are happy to discuss what works best with your chosen watch before assembly begins.

Yes. Engraving is available on many models and can be a meaningful way to mark a milestone, celebration or personal occasion. If you're unsure what is possible, just ask.

Your order enters our workshop schedule, components are allocated and the watch is prepared for assembly. Once built, it is tested, inspected, cleaned and prepared for delivery before leaving Lincoln for its new owner.

We think so. Almost everything can be delivered tomorrow. A Pinchbeck can't. For many of our customers, knowing their watch was assembled specifically for them by a British watchmaker in Lincoln makes the wait part of the experience rather than an inconvenience.
